Individually crafted by hand.

Images in Wood is a family based business located in the heart of Co. Down in Northern Ireland overlooking the Mourne Mountains.

We specialise in canine and equine studies, after all who doesn’t love dogs and horses.

I prefer to use native Beech for most of my work from sustainable sources in Co. Tyrone and use a Pyrograph to scorch the image on to the surface of the wood. Over the years this process has been known as Poker Work or more commonly woodburning but essentially it is as old as mankind. Who can argue that our ancient ancestors didn’t use fire and wood to produce art.

All our Beech is kiln dried and then planed, cut, lathe turned where necessary and sanded by my husband before it reaches me for the artwork.

We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver a high quality product at affordable prices for our customers whether it be the individual owner or Breed Clubs and Societies.

I’ve just visited the Countryfile show @ Blenheim & bought two of your items for my irish daughter-in-law, who comes from Bangor. My husband loves them when I got them home & showed them to him.
